And so begins my attempt at cataloging my kitchen adventures.  Strange, and sometimes wonderful, things happen in my kitchen and I would like to share the stories and recipes that bring me so much joy.  I feel so accomplished when I cook even the simplest of things, and as I learn to navigate through the information overload that is the foodie universe these days, I find myself wishing I could share my hard earned bits of wisdom with other people who have discovered their inner cooking nerd.

If I’m honest, I’d say that I’m an average cook.  In a year I’d like to be able to say that I’m a good cook – and one day, maybe even an excellent one.  In the meantime, I hope I can share a little of the happiness I get from the simple (mostly) act of preparing a meal.

So, invisible readers, wherever you may be reading from, welcome to my kitchen, and enjoy.

  1. Emily,
The cheese you can find at the Carrollton Publix at the cheese case in the deli section and if they are out try Ingles, they also, have a cheese case. You are off to a great start. Keep it up
